City of Ingleside Drainage Master Plan

Welcome to the City of Ingleside Drainage Master Plan project website! This site includes the latest updates about the process, resources and materials, and opportunities to provide your input. Please check back periodically for updated information.

Project Goals

The City has already completed a Transportation Master Plan and Parks Master Plan as updates to the overall Comprehensive Master Plan (CMP). This Drainage Master Plan is the next component to planning for a thriving community.

The Ingleside Drainage Master Plan will support the goals presented in the CMP by providing proposed stormwater system improvements and maintenance recommendations, floodplain management recommendations to reduce erosion and improve water quality, and a prioritized list of projects that reflect the City's commitment to resolving existing flooding issues while preparing for continued growth.

Virtual Open House #2

Provide feedback on the proposed projects by February 7, 2024.

The existing drainage channels within the City limits were assessed for existing and future land use conditions. Existing flooding, erosion, safety, and conveyance problem areas were identified based on the analyses of existing data and discussions with City staff. Flood-prone areas or channel sections that may need improvements were identified and preliminary improvements were proposed to mitigate these drainage problems and to develop the Capital Improvement Projects (CIPs).
